Saddling up for charity
LIKE most fathers, Colin Read would go to great lengths to see a smile on his son’s face.
But five-year-old George was born with the rare condition, Moebius syndrome, which means he can’t smile, blink or frown.
Now Colin, from Port Seton, and his friend Iain Whyte, are planning to motorcycle across America to raise money for research into the condition.
They will wear kilts for the 2913-mile journey, which will take ten days. They hope to raise 200,000 for the Moebius Research Trust.
