Rollers fans checking in
BAY City Rollers fans are flying in from as far afield as the United States and Australia to see former frontman Les McKeown in action in the Capital on Hogmanay.
Bosses at the Edinburgh nightspot where the 70s pin-up is appearing with his own version of the Rollers say they have been amazed at the response the gig has had.
They claim Edinburgh Arena in Fountain Park has been inundated with phone calls and e-mails from fans desperate to see Les McKeown’s Legendary Bay City Rollers.
General manager Crawford Stirling said: "Since tickets went on sale at the beginning of November, we’ve had inquires and bookings from all over the world, including Germany, Ireland, the US and even Australia.
"Requests have come from fans that go to all lengths and travel great distances to see Les perform. It’s going to be a night to remember, whatever country you come from."
