Rogue gamekeeper
It is entirely predictable that the League Against Cruel Sports would seek to capitalise on the prosecution of a self-styled gamekeeper in connection with badly-set snares and the consequent death of badgers (Letters, 10 April). It is important, however, to point out that our research has found that this individual is neither a member of the Scottish Gamekeepers Association nor a professional gamekeeper. As with any wildlife crime, we totally condemn his actions.
