Roadside bomb kills US soldier
THE US military yesterday confirmed that an American soldier had been killed by a roadside bomb south-west of Baghdad.
The military said in a statement that the soldier died on Thursday in the attack 12 miles from the capital. The statement, which gave no further details of the incident, said the name of the soldier was being withheld until the family is notified.
