Roadshow to bring laughs to Gullane

IT'S a stunning coastal resort famed for its golfing pedigree and celebrity resident Ronnie Corbett.

Now Gullane in East Lothian is hoping to follow in the footsteps of its most famous homeowner by tee-ing up a new comedy night.

Dubbed Wear the Fox Hat Comedy Roadshow, the night will boast top comic talent and bring the spirit of big city gigs to a more intimate venue.

Promoter Jim Russell said: "The idea was to recreate a top city show inside a small village hall. Auchtermuchty (in Fife] has taken to the experiment fabulously, with sell-out shows.

"Gullane fits our profile perfectly. Encouragement and enthusiasm from the local community has convinced us that Wear the Fox Hat has found a new holiday home."

The event is on May 21 in Gullane Village Hall. Tickets cost 10 and doors open at 7.45pm.
