Rhona's star shines with charity award
A RACEHORSE enthusiast who has raised nearly £50,000 for an Edinburgh charity is to be recognised.
Rhona Elliott, 65, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 20 years ago, will be given the Shining Star award from the Multiple Sclerosis Society Scotland.
She set up a racehorse club in the Borders with the sole aim of raising cash for the charity.
MS Society director in Edinburgh David McNiven said: "The benefits of Rhona's efforts are clear for everyone to see and I pay tribute to her for all that she has achieved."
