Residents clean up their act to tackle graffiti problem on Dundee city streets
RESIDENTS in the west end of Dundee joined forces over the weekend to rid the area of graffiti.
Fraser Macpherson, councillor for the area, said the group of volunteers came together because they were fed up with the vandalism and determined to clean it up.
He added: "We have met as an informal group through the West End Local Community Planning Partnership over some months to discuss the graffiti problem and how we should tackle it.
"We have had good co-operation from many organisations, including the council, property owners, utility companies, and it is good that many residents want to see practical action in getting rid of the graffiti menace in the area."
