Researcher is Tories' choice
A TORY researcher has been chosen as the party's candidate to fight Edinburgh East at the next Westminster election.
Martin Donald, 25, who works for Edinburgh Pentlands MSP David McLetchie, lives in Portobello, attended Duddingston Primary School and Portobello High and has a history and politics degree from Aberdeen University.
Veteran Labour MP Gavin Strang is standing down at the next election and his party bosses have decided to choose a successor from an all-women shortlist.
