Republican prepares for White House bid
Former Minnesota governor. Tim Pawlenty is to run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination and will announce his bid officially in Iowa on Monday, sources said last night.
The 50-year-old has been laying the groundwork for a run in the election for more than a year and took the first step in March by setting up an exploratory committee.
