'Rape campaign' colonel is killed
A CONGOLESE army spokesman said a former colonel whose fighters have been accused of raping civilians has been killed in the country's volatile east.
Emmanuel Nsengiyumva died during a military operation in North Kivu province.
He formerly belonged to a Tutsi-led rebel group, later joined the army, then deserted and fought with other groups.
