Ransom hope for yacht pair
KIDNAPPED Britons Paul and Rachel Chandler might be freed for much less than the $7 million (£4.2m) ransom demand.
Hostage negotiator Andrew Mwangura said he was working with Somali elders to help free the Chandlers, who were captured from their yacht by pirates just over a week ago.
Mr Mwangura said: "The pirates realise now that the Chandlers are not rich people. They will be persuaded to lower their demand, maybe to 100,000."
In a phone call taken by the BBC on Friday night, one of the pirates was reported as saying: "We only need a little amount of $7m."
