Rail campaign lines up talks

THE group campaigning for the reopening of the South Sub railway has announced details of its winter series of meetings.

The city's transport leader Councillor Phil Wheeler will be the first speaker to address the Capital Rail Action Group next month.

The meeting takes place on October 9 from 7.30pm in the Quaker Meeting House, Victoria Terrace.

The November meeting will have Dr Malcolm Reed, chief executive of Transport Scotland, as the main speaker.
