There's more hyperactive comedy when The Jason Byrne Show (BBC Radio 2, Thursday, 10pm) returns. The Irish stand-up and Edinburgh Fringe favourite provides bang-for-your-buck laughs. Radio 2's Moon and Space Season continues with KT Tunstall sharing her lifelong fascination with space travel. Eye To The Telescope (Saturday, 10pm) is named after the famous Fifer's debut album, and features contributions from musicians The Aliens, and Paul Hartnoll of Orbital.
On Radio 3, Womad Live 2009 (Friday, 11.15pm) begins coverage of the Wiltshire world music festival, with performances from Buena Vista Social Club's Eliades Ochoa, Mercury-nominated experimental jazz outfit The Portico Quartet and Bhangra pioneer Channi Singh. Over the weekend, listeners can also hear Senegalese star Youssou N'Dour, Malian songstress Oumou Sangare, and Mamer, a cult figure from Beijing.
