Race entrant is big news
ITV newsreader Nina Hossain is set to tackle this weekend's Bupa Great Winter Run.
The 37-year-old presenter will join more than 2000 competitors on Saturday in the 5k course around Holyrood Park.
She will raise money for the Alzheimer's Society, which along with its sister charity, Alzheimer Scotland, are Bupa's chosen charities for the 2011 Bupa Great Run Series.
The run is part of a full day of events, including the Bupa Great Edinburgh Cross-Country event, which attracts some of the world's best runners. It is free to spectators and will be shown live on BBC1.
Organisers say the race in Holyrood Park will go ahead whatever the weather, with an alternative course already mapped out in case the traditional route around Queen's Drive has to be changed.
