Question of BBC 'sport'
Rugby is not the only sport to suffer neglect at the hands of BBC Scotland (Debate & Opinion, 30 September). On Saturday, 4 October, the Colin McRae Stages Rally took place in Perthshire. As a mark of their respect for this Scottish world champion, a number of top rally crews from around the world took part, while nearly 50,000 fans went in to the forests to spectate. There was great media interest worldwide.
I watched Reporting Scotland on Monday expecting at least a mention of this event, but they chose instead to interview a couple of football fans about their team's possible line-ups. If they don't regard such an event as newsworthy, what hope for others?
