Queen Victoria liner promises to be majestic sight in the Forth

THE Queen Victoria cruise liner will sail along the Firth of Forth today as it continues on its historic tour of Great Britain.

Scottish passengers will disembark at Hound Point into a vessel that will ferry them to shore.

The 90,000-tonne liner is on a tour to mark the 170th anniversary of the first Cunard vessel to leave Liverpool.

On Monday, Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker Bowles, who is Godmother of the vessel after naming it two years ago, unveiled a plaque to mark the 170th anniversary of the company's first transatlantic crossing from Liverpool.
