Quartermile move for law firm
A LEGAL firm is to move its Edinburgh office to the new Quartermile development.
Morton Fraser, which is currently based in Queen Street, has pre-let four floors of a new office building being constructed on the old ERI site.
The six-storey building, called Quartermile Two, is expected to be completed in October 2009 and Morton Fraser is due to move in shortly afterwards.
Colin Macpherson, director at Gladedale Capital, which oversaw the 15-year lease deal, said: "The company's early decision to locate to Quartermile re-emphasises the project's growing reputation as the prime office destination within Edinburgh."
Linda Urquhart, the chief executive of Morton Fraser, said: "Over the past four years we have grown significantly in Edinburgh, and opened new offices in Glasgow and London, so this move for our Edinburgh team to new purpose-built premises at Quartermile marks another significant milestone for Morton Fraser."
