Pupils to paint druggie police mural – legally

PUPILS from a primary school are set to decorate a police station with a mural to promote drug awareness after winning a competition.

Children from a P7 class at Howden St Andrews RC Primary School won the contest to design a poster for the Choices for Life campaign.

The class are now due to visit Livingston police station on Monday to paint their design on a wall.

The poster will also be used at the Choices for Life 2009 event, which is attended by hundreds of youngsters from the Lothians.

B&Q Livingston will be on hand to provide painting assistance and materials, while First Bus is providing transport for the pupils and Asda is offering snacks.

In addition, First Bus has agreed to reproduce the winning poster onto the rear of a bus travelling on a route through Livingston.
