Pupils to gain from grants
TWO of the Lothians' most popular attractions are to expand their education programmes after a Scottish Government funding boost.
A grant of 27,000 will allow the Scottish Seabird Centre to team up with Our Dynamic Earth to lay on an outreach programme for 8000 children in Scotland.
The funding means lessons usually staged at the centres in North Berwick and Holyrood Road will instead be taken into classrooms, giving opportunities to youngsters who otherwise may not get the chance to visit either attraction.
