Pupils send 300 shoeboxes of gifts to Belarus
PUPILS at the Royal High School have sent more than 300 shoeboxes with gifts to children in Belarus.
Each year pupils send the presents to youngsters in the poverty-stricken eastern European country.
This year a total of 328 shoeboxes were collected, beating last year's total 271.
The shoeboxes, which include clothes, toys and sweets, are often the only gifts the children receive. They have now been sent off and are expected to arrive in time for Christmas.
