Pupils join the army to mark Homecoming

ARMY musicians and school- children are to join forces today to mark South Queensferry's Homecoming 2009 celebrations.

Pupils from local primary schools will accompany pipers and drummers from the 51st Highland, 7th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland on a marching band parade on South Queensferry High Street.

The parade follows the arrival of The Piper's Trail, a tour run by the army in Scotland which aims to raise national interest in military pipe and drum music.

The parade starts at 5pm with the concert at 6:30pm and ceilidh at Queensferry Primary School from 8pm-12pm.
