Public get a look at future health centre
FUTURE users of a new health centre in East Lothian have been shown plans and designs of the facility.
The Musselburgh Primary Care Centre is not expected to be up and running until 2011, but health chiefs have been keen to give locals in East Lothian a taste of what was to come.
As well as organising the exhibition, they also organised a question and answer session about the centre, which allowed local residents to find out more about healthcare in the area in general.
The centre will comprise room for three GP practices as well as podiatry, physiotherapy, dental services and speech and language therapy.
Gerry Power, general manager for the East Lothian Community Health Partnership, said: "The new centre is a substantial investment which will deliver the highest quality healthcare.
"We are keen to engage with the community and keep people informed as the development progresses, as well as provide the opportunity to meet staff and ask questions formally."
