Protesters say plan fails to safeguard Meadowbank
CAMPAIGNERS say they are concerned that the city council's proposed Local Plan fails to safeguard the future of Meadowbank Stadium.
They are urging residents and users to object to the plan, which could allow a large part of the site to be sold for housing.
The new plan recommends that "a replacement stadium and other facilities are proposed to be built within the existing site".
It also states the existing stadium is "not fit for purpose".
The Save Meadowbank campaign group say the plan is too ambiguous.
