Protest over crèche closures
PARENTS are to protest against the planned closures of Edinburgh Leisure crèches at a forthcoming council meeting.
They will be holding banners and collecting signatures for a petition at the City Chambers on May 29.
Campaigners also hope to bring a deputation which will call on direct council funding to keep the facilities open at Kirkliston, Leith, Craiglockhart and the Royal Commonwealth Pool.
The parents are also angered by a 2 price rise at the crches which will stay open.
