Princess has a summer ball
THE Princess Royal is to be guest of honour at a glittering summer ball to raise money for the Save the Children Fund next month.
The glamorous black-tie event is being staged in a marquee in Charlotte Square for up to 450 specially invited guests including business leaders, prominent community, and celebrities.
As well as musical entertainment, an auction will be held in a bid to raise as much money as possible for the children's charity, of which the Princess is president.
The ball on May 25 has been sponsored by Walter Scott and Partners, an investment management firm based in Charlotte Square.
