Princess beats path to Tattoo
THE Princess Royal is to attend the Edinburgh Military Tattoo next week.
Princess Anne, patron of the event, will join Major General Euan Loudon, governor of Edinburgh Castle, and the Tattoo's producer, Brigadier Mel Jameson, at the esplanade spectacular on Monday.
The royal guest is due to have dinner with the board of the Tattoo and is also expected to meet a number of this year's performers after the event.
Brigadier Jameson said he was looking forward to introducing the princess to some of the event's "outstanding performers".
