Possession is all, as newlywed Mike Tindall gets back to his day job
AFTER spending the weekend avoiding a media scrum, newlywed Mike Tindall returned to his day job as captain of the England rugby team.
The centre married Zara Phillips, granddaughter of the Queen and 13th in line to the throne, in Edinburgh on Saturday.
Despite the couple's determination to have a private ceremony, there was huge public and media attention, as more than 6,000 people lined the Royal Mile to try and catch a glimpse of them leaving the Canongate Kirk after the ceremony.
The reception was held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, and on Sunday various members of the Royal Family were seen dispersing.
Mr Tindall met his new wife in Australia where he was part of a successful rugby team taking part in the 2003 World Cup.
Then he was part of captain Martin Johnson's successful team - this time, in New Zealand, Mr Tindall will lead the players onto the pitch.
The couple put off their honeymoon so they can focus on sporting commitments. Ms Phillips is a showjumper and is preparing for the London Olympics next year.
