Touring parliament display digs in at Mining Museum
A TRAVELLING exhibition marking the tenth anniversary of the Scottish Parliament will be based at the Scottish Mining Museum in Newtongrange for the next fortnight.
Moving Stories, which started its journey around Scotland in April, uses photography and audio-visual material to explore the experience of ten people who have interacted with the parliament since it was set up in 1999.
The exhibition opened at the museum yesterday and will be open to the public until Thursday, 19 November.
It will also be on display in the main hall of Scottish Parliament from Friday, 4 December until Wednesday, 16 December.
Presiding Officer Alex Fergusson said: "The collective experiences of those featured in Moving Stories illustrate the many different ways in which people have engaged with the parliament and its members.
"Individually, their stories help us to see what the parliament means to different people."
