Youth parly’s poll position

ASPIRING politicians are being urged to seek election to the Scottish Youth Parliament.

Any young person aged between 14 and 25 is eligible to stand for election to the SYP as long as they live in Scotland and have a passion for  democracy.

The elections are conducted in partnership with local authorities across Scotland, with the nomination period running until December 7.

Elections will be held in March 2013.
