SNP receive £200,000 in donations between July and September

THE SNP received nearly £200,000 in donations during the third quarter of 2012, newly released figures from the Electoral Commission have revealed today.
A total of £198,505 was handed to the party in donations between 1 July and 30 September 2012, with £195,879.00 listed as coming from Edwin G Morgan - Scotland’s late Makar.
Labour at UK level had the highest donation figure during the three month period, with more than £3 million donated to Ed Miliband’s party.
Labour’s donations donations included almost £800,000 from the Unite union and more than £600,000 from the shopworkers’ union Usdaw.
The Conservatives at UK level received more than £2.6 million between the start of July and the end of September 2012, the newly published figures showed. Michael Farmer, a City financier, donated more than half a million pounds to the Conservatives.
There was also more than half a million pounds donated to the UK Lib Dems
