SNP party conference: Building firms ‘clinging on’

DEPUTY First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will today warn Chancellor George Osborne that Scottish building firms are “clinging on by their fingertips” and demand a change of course on the economy.

Sturgeon, the infrastructure secretary in the Scottish Cabinet, will call on the Chancellor to use the forthcoming Autumn Budget statement to unveil a spending package on major projects such as roads and schools to boost growth.
