POLICE have cautioned three youths in Thurso, Caithness, who were caught throwing eggs at a Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg’s battlebus.

Police Scotland confirmed three teenage males were cautioned after they were seen throwing eggs at the bus which was parked outside the town’s Pentland Hotel on Tuesday.

It was the final leg of Mr Clegg’s Land’s End to John O’Groats campaign tour.

“The three local youths were spoken too and were released without charge,” said a spokesman.
