The leader of the SNP group at Westminster Angus Robertson yesterday had good reason to say Yes.
Angus Robertson tied the knot with his partner of a year Jennifer Dempsie.
The Moray MP got married to the former special adviser to Alex Salmond at Lothian Chambers in Edinburgh.
The couple were congratulated by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, who said: “I’m delighted for Angus and Jennifer and I wish them every happiness.”
Well-wishers added their congratulations on social media. Posting a wedding picture on twitter, Mr Robertson, 45, wrote: “Very lucky to marry the lovely @JenniferDempsie today. Thanks for the best wishes.”
And the bride wasting no time changing her name Tweeting from: Jennifer Robertson: A very happy day thanks to my love @AngusRobertson
She played a key role in the Yes campaign during the independence referendum and had intended to stand as a candidate for the SNP on the Highlands regional list in May’s Holyrood elections but withdrew to focus on her business career.
