Penrose leads HIV inquiry
A NEW chairman has been appointed to lead an inquiry into how people were infected with hepatitis C and HIV from contaminated blood.
High Court judge Lord Penrose will take over from Lady Cosgrove, who had to withdraw for family reasons, in the autumn.
The inquiry will examine documents going back to the 1980s.
Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon said: "I hope the inquiry can provide answers which I know (the victims] so desperately want."
