Number 10's Sybil dies
SHE was the sleekest feline to stalk the corridors of power since Carla Bruni posed at the door of Number 10.
Downing Street's cat, Sybil, died this week in London after a short illness.
The black and white cat was adopted from a rescue centre by Chancellor Alistair Darling and his wife Maggie. She was given the honour of being Chief Mouser of Downing Street when she moved to the street in September 2007 and had her own basket at the Treasury, but left to live with a family friend of Mr Darling.
