Not enough support for Bill
A BID to outlaw parking charges at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary has failed to get the necessary support to be considered by the Scottish Parliament.
Labour MSP Paul Martin proposed a member's bill in the Scottish Parliament to require free parking at all NHS sites. He won backing from 34 Labour MSPs, but needed support from at least one MSP from another major party for the bill to proceed.
"I am angry, disappointed and frustrated that my bill will not become law. This was an opportunity to introduce a fairer system," he said.
