Murdoch praises First Minister

MEDIA tycoon Rupert Murdoch has praised First Minister Alex Salmond on Twitter as the “most brilliant politician” in the UK.

The Australian said that the First Minister had given David Cameron the “back of his hand” during the latest independence referendum spat.

Mr Murdoch’s latest move to lavish the SNP leader with compliments comes just weeks after he previously heaped on Mr Salmond on Twitter, saying “Great to see Alex Salmond Briton of the year.”

An email, letter, phone call, or in thus case a tweet from the Murdoch empire - The endorsement no right-minded politician wants. So why does Salmond go on TV and welcome it?

#44 famous15; you live in a world of make-believe. You make yourself believe you, are more moral than thee. You make yourself believe you are more honest than thee. You make yourself believe you, are more ethical, wise and worthy than thee. .......You cast dispersions like you have the authority to. Where do you believe you get this authority from? Are you making it up yourself? Aye, go on, cast as many stones as you can, you will be judged! ............What most here are missing is the indelible stain of corruption Westminster operate, and is known by Rupert Murdoch. If a punter pays for sex, is she\he any more moral than the prostitute? Are are the punter & prostitute any more unethical than the government who punish them, when the government colludes in such a manner a manner that is similar? Betting is illegal, and considered immoral and unethical in many parts of the world. Humanist ideals on morality are devised to suit their own prejudices; morality then becomes a self-adjusted make-believe relativism. Everybody and their dog knows how corrupt, dis-honest, and hypocritical Westminster politicians and lords are, so why would you cast dispersions on 'the punter' ? If that's the case, you must now cast dispersions on your own kind for being so hyper-critical and morally supreme in make-believing you are better than others. ...Best you don't judge others; especially when those others knows all your enemies secrets and weak points. ...You have a habit of making a tool of yourself; maybe you should go back to New-snot where you are more comfortable in your hypercritical make-believe ramblings and silo-ing is 'normal'. ...Aye, go ahead mucker, try and find that on the internet!

#51 a few years ago murdoch might have swung it your way, now he's known as the man whose papers hack into the phones of child murder victims. Murdoch may well be getting his collar felt either here or in the states in the near future, so alex will be giving a pained grin at that endorsement this morning

Flip off flipper, if the Sun was rabidly anti SNP (like the hootsman), what would be your take then ? Something a tad different from below no doubt. Many will be thinking along the lines of "my enemy's enemy is my friend". With the establishment, and their media opposing us, with every dirty tactic in the book, having the worlds most powerful man on side is to be welcomed. Freedom seldom comes without a price.

#40 - "The fear that Murdoch's papers might actually report the news without an anti-SNP standpoint is sending them into overdrive tonight. With the Sun Scotland's top selling paper and even relaunching a Sunday paper, the Unionists have no greater nightmare".......................DELUDED CYBER NAT. THAT IS ALL. ENDS.

#35 (and everwhere north and south of this thread ... and elsewhere) Simpleton - Give the transparently phoney Glescaspeak a holiday. So you've picked up a few words and phrases off the internet and continue to make a complete erse of yourself. Just do your trollery in English - it's less embarrassing. Take a tip from Danielrober2. He's learning English too.

Personally I think all our news media should have a limit on individual ownership to ensure a fair news output. The old Murdoch family started off well and took the moral high ground but later they went astray. The SNP has had a hostile media over the years and it is a pity that they consider it in their interests to look gratefully at any media source which could give them a fair deal. For the Scotsman to give the SNP a hard time on this smells of hypocrisy.

I understand he has Scots ancestry, so maybe there is some desire to see the old country reach its full potential................ Better his papers are for us than against us.... There's no denying they can make an impact, and help to balance the playing field.

With the wizard of oz's back of hand comments, the old f@rt has done us all a service. Maybe making amends, with the reaper not far off. He must really hate the British establishment.
