Minister reveals action plan to keep children safe online
CHILDREN'S minister Adam Ingram was today outlining Scottish Government action to help beat cyber bullying, internet fraud and online grooming.
He was speaking at a conference on internet safety at Edinburgh's Grosvenor Hotel.
Last month, the government unveiled an action plan including training for teachers in keeping children safe online.
And it launched a 70,000 radio and press marketing campaign to promote safer and more responsible internet use.
Mr Ingram said: "We want young people to enjoy the internet and that means helping them stay in control and ensuring they know who to go to if they feel at risk.
"We also need to step up our work with parents and teachers."
