Police tighten up Sullom Voe security

SECURITY has been tightened at the giant Sullom Voe oil terminal on Shetland after a man was arrested following the deployment of firearms officers from Northern Constabulary to an address outside Lerwick.

A 49-year-old man, who is due in Lerwick Sheriff Court today, was detained after police acted on alleged threats to the huge oil terminal on the Shetland mainland yesterday.
