Police issue racial abuse witness plea
SHOPPERS who witnessed two suspected shoplifters give a volley of racist abuse to a security guard are being urged to come forward by police.
The guard had caught two teenagers removing security tags at the Asda supermarket off Newmarket Road in Chesser on Tuesday at 5.40pm. He ushered them out of the store but the youths then turned on him and gave him a barrage of racist abuse.
The main protagonist is described as being between 16 and 17-years-old, around 5ft 4ins tall.
He was wearing a black long-sleeved Nike tracksuit top and black tracksuit bottoms.
Police are keen for shoppers who witnessed the attack to come forward, particularly one woman who gave the youths a row.
