Police 'shocked' at attack on cemetery
Vandals caused thousands of pounds worth of damage at a cemetery, police said yesterday. A total of 23 headstones were damaged and toppled over at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Liberton, Edinburgh.
Officers want to trace a group of men seen in the area at about 11pm on Thursday. A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said: "This is a shocking act of disrespect."
