A CYCLIST has died after becoming unwell on a road in the Highland capital.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police, along with other emergency services, attended at Culduthel Road, Inverness at 12pm today after reports that a cyclist had taken unwell.

“He was taken to Raigmore Hospital where sadly he died. Next of kin have been made aware.
“The road will be closed for a short period of time whilst enquiries are ongoing.”
