A city man has not been seen since leaving his home in the early hours of this morning - sparking a police hunt.
Officers in Edinburgh are seeking the assistance of the public in an effort to trace Graham Clark, who was last seen at around 4.40am this morning.
He left his home address in Almond Court, off Greendykes Road, in Craigmillar.
The 60-year-old has not been in contact since this time and police are now carrying out search activity involving specialist teams. These include the dog unit.
Officers have said Mr Clark might appear confused, adding that he has access to a bus pass which he may be using to get round the city.
He is described as 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build, with short blonde hair and blonde moustache.
At the time of him going missing, he was possibly wearing blue denim jeans, a dark navy fleece with a hood and grey trainers.
The ongoing search effort is currently focussed on Edinburgh. However, Mr Clark is known to have links in the Kirkliston area.
Inspector Steven Duncan, who is based in Craigmillar police station, said: “Our concern for Graham is growing by the hour and we are extremely keen to trace him as quickly as possible.
“I would urge anyone who has seen Graham or has information on his whereabouts to get in touch.
“We know from our early inquiries that he has his bus pass and may be utilising the local public transport network. Again, I would urge any regular users to please let us know if you have seen or even spoken with him.”
Those with information can contact police on 101 or speak to any officer.
