Police launch probe after body found on shoreline in Argyll

A body has been found on a shore in Argyll.

It was discovered at Ardmucknish Bay, near Benderloch, at around 12.20pm on Thursday.

Police Scotland said inquiries to establish the identity of the person are at an early stage.

A spokesman added: “A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course to establish the cause of death and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
