Police appeal in missing mum case
DETECTIVES searching for a missing mother said they have received a "steady flow" of information but urged more people to come forward.
Mother-of-three Mary McLaren, 34, went missing on Thursday 25 February, after a visit to Fat Sams nightclub in Dundee with her sister.
She was last seen at around 3am that day in Marketgait East, near to its junction with King Street, with a man it is understood she met in the club.
Detective Chief Inspector Shaun McKillop, senior investigating officer, said: "There has been a steady flow of information coming in to the inquiry team since Mary went missing.
"That information has proved to be invaluable so far."
McKillop said photographs of McLaren dancing with a man in the club have led to a number of phone calls which are being followed up.
He added: "However, I believe there are still people out there who will have seen Mary in the early hours of the morning and have yet to come forward. I urge them to do so.
"Don't dismiss the information you might have as irrelevant. That scrap of detail, no matter how insignificant you might think it is, could be crucial to us."
McLaren is 5ft 2in, has long brown hair, blue eyes and walks with a limp. On the night she disappeared she was wearing a distinctive black and white patterned dress, black leggings, a white duffel coat and flat black shoes. She was carrying a black handbag and a pink inflatable adult toy.
The man is described as being between 30 and 45, around 5ft 7in, of slim build, with brown hair and a moustache.
He was wearing a grey, round neck T-shirt, a dark-coloured jacket with white reflective piping on the back and dark-coloured trousers.
