A 88-year-old woman with dementia has gone missing in Glasgow.

Elizabeth McCulloch was last seen on CCTV footage at Eamont Lodge Court Home in Victoria Circus, in the west end, at around 7.20am on Friday.

Police Scotland said in a statement her family are “extremely worried” for the pensioner, who has dementia and takes medication.

She is described as white, around 4ft 11in and of medium build with short grey hair.

She is wearing a black coat with a cream hood and has a black fabric shoulder bag.

Inspector Edward Seery said: “Extensive inquiries are under way to locate Elizabeth and, given her age, we are concerned for her wellbeing.

“We are linking in with our colleagues at British Transport Police and public transport organisations for any information as to where Elizabeth may have gone.

“She has in the past known to visit the Ruchazie area of Glasgow and officers are undertaking inquiries in that area.

“It is out of character for Elizabeth to go missing and I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Elizabeth or who has any information or knowledge as to her whereabouts to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
