Plea to back end of life Bill
PEOPLE passionate about end-of-life care have been urged to write to their local MSP to support a parliamentary bill.
The Scottish Government's Living and Dying Well Action Plan has passed several parliamentary tests but needs widespread support from MSPs to go through. It is hoped the Bill will improve palliative care in the Lothians and help society cope with an ageing population.
MSP Gil Paterson said: "Over 55,000 people die each year in Scotland and I urge the public to demonstrate their support."
