The Playhouse Theatre will tonight hold its first movie screening in decades as a special treat for the stars of its latest show.
The Stage Experience provides 120 young people in Edinburgh and the Lothians with an opportunity to strut their stuff on one of the city’s most famous stages – by putting on a musical in only two weeks.
As a reward for all their hard work so far on this year’s production of Grease, the youngsters, who are aged between ten and 21, will be watching the movie in style this evening in the Playhouse’s main auditorium.
Ronan Burns, 18, who has been performing with the group since he was 11 and will be playing the lead male role of Danny Zuko, can’t wait to see the characters on the big screen.
He said: “I’m so excited – we all are. We’ll all be singing and dancing along.”
