Plans to build 600 homes

DEVELOPERS have applied to create more than 600 new houses in the Lothians in three new projects.

Persimmon Homes has applied for permission to build 351 houses and 192 flats on land to the east and west of Hunterfield Road in Gorebridge, Midlothian.

The same firm also wants to build 80 houses on land at River Gore Road in Gorebridge.

Meanwhile, Southglen Developments is seeking the green light for a scheme involving 17 houses at Durham Bank, Bonnyrigg, Midlothian. Planning chiefs will discuss the different proposals at a future meeting.
