Planning delay claim dismissed

A MAN who claimed a local authority was taking too long to determine a planning application has lost his bid.

He said East Lothian Council had failed to make a decision on his proposal to build a house in North Berwick in the statutory timeframe and appealed to the Scottish Government to make a decision.

But Holyrood planning reporter Allison Coard said the house proposal on the town's Dirleton Road would "cramp" the immediate surrounding area and dismissed the bid.
